  • Extension request context from supported Freelancer.com project pages (such as project URL and project id).
  • Authentication/session information required to verify your account and authorize analysis requests.
  • Operational logs and diagnostics for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

2. How we use information

  • Provide extension and account functionality.
  • Authenticate users and enforce access controls.
  • Process project analysis requests and return client insight results.
  • Maintain billing, fraud prevention, security monitoring, and support operations.

3. Chrome extension permissions

  • activeTab: Used when you trigger analysis on the active Freelancer.com project tab.
  • cookies: Used for account/session authentication required to authorize API requests.
  • storage: Used to save lightweight extension UI/session state for consistent user experience.
  • Host permissions: Limited to supported Freelancer project pages and FreelancerLens domains required for API communication.

FreelancerLens does not execute remote code. Extension logic is bundled in the published package.

4. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell personal data.

We may share data with service providers that help us operate core infrastructure (for example hosting, authentication, or payments), under contractual safeguards.

5. Data retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Extension-side temporary state may be stored in browser session/local storage and can be removed by clearing browser data or uninstalling the extension.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continuously improve our controls.

You can request support related to access, updates, or deletion of account information, subject to applicable law and technical limitations.

You can stop extension data processing at any time by disabling or uninstalling FreelancerLens.
